The United Way of Southwest New Mexico is a local, independent, volunteer driven, non-profit organization, bringing people and resources together to build stronger communities in and around Dona Ana, Grant, Sierra, Luna, and Hidalgo counties.
Since 1957 we have been making a difference in our community and building better lives throughout Southwest New Mexico.
Through our Community Investment Committee we partner with community volunteers in prioritizing needs, consolidating resources, and funding programs that provide effective support and solutions in three key areas: education, health and income.
Over the years, the united efforts of United Way partner programs and community members have helped improve the lives of many of those most vulnerable in our community.
The United Way of Southwest New Mexico 58 agencies that address the building blocks of a better life – improved education, better health and economic self-sufficiency.
The office currently consists of a small dedicated staff and is overseen by a nine-member volunteer Board of Directors.
